The Underfloor Baton method is suitable for situations where you want don't want to increase floor height and maintain the existing aesthetics of the room, such as exposed floorboards, while still achieving some level of soundproofing. It's important to note that while this approach can help reduce airborne noise, it may not be as effective as other methods in achieving the highest levels of soundproofing, especially for low-frequency sounds.

Airborne Noise Reduction: This method primarily addresses airborne noise, which includes sounds like voices, music, and other sounds transmitted through the air.
Floorboard Lifting: The process starts by lifting the existing floorboards to access the floor joists beneath.
Mineral Wool Insulation: Acoustic mineral wool is installed between the floor joists. This material is known for its sound-absorbing properties and helps reduce airborne noise transmission.
19mm Planc or dBX Boards: Depending on the specific requirements and materials available, either 19mm planks or 15mm dBX Boards are cut to size and fitted between the joists. These boards serve as an additional barrier against sound transmission.
Acoustic Mastic: The edges and joints of the boards are sealed with acoustic mastic to ensure an airtight and soundproof seal. Proper sealing is essential to prevent sound leaks.
Reinstallation of Floorboards: After the soundproofing materials are in place and sealed, the floorboards are fixed back in their original positions.
Gap Sealing: If the floor is going to be covered with carpet, laminate, or other flooring materials, any gaps between the floorboards are sealed with acoustic sealant to further enhance soundproofing.
