After years of development, TANShield has arrived to compete directly with the market-leading European brands, offering equivalent acoustic performance at a more competitive price point, supported by a reliable UK supply chain.

TANShield is a dense, flexible, and high-performance acoustic barrier mat manufactured from a specialist formulation of EPR and thermoplastic polymers, filled with naturally occurring minerals. The product is completely free from lead, unrefined aromatic oils, and bitumen.

Engineered to enhance the sound insulation and sound absorption performance of existing substrates including plasterboard, metal, wood, plastic, and similar materials, TANShield is effective across a wide frequency range. The membrane is typically installed in direct contact with the existing panel or structure to maximise acoustic performance.

Its soft and highly flexible composition provides excellent conformability to irregular surfaces and structures, making it particularly effective for noise control applications involving pipework, ducting, and similar assemblies.

As standard, TANShield barriers are supplied with an integrated polypropylene scrim on one face. For ease of installation, the product is also available with a self-adhesive backing combined with a reinforcing scrim.
